Assignment 8 - NAIS 20/20 Challenge:

Estoy interesada en participar en el reto “Education
for all” , dentro del curriculum en el
área de humanidades está la unidad de Derechos Humanos y va a ser muy
significativo para los alumnos hacer este vínculo con dicho tema.
El reto dentro del Colegio tengo planeado
trabajarlo en conjunto con Patricia Morales , quien implanta la misma clase.
Dicho reto responde a un problema real de nuestro país y
es fácil transpolar lo a nivel mundial , ya que la desigualdad es un problema
global.
Nuestro plan para abordar
dicho reto es primero que nada mandar la solicitud y así contactar a otros
maestros que estén interesados en compartir con nosotros sus experiencias
acerca del tema.
Una vez que tengamos por lo menos un par de grupos con quien trabajar planearemos de forma conjunta alguna actividad donde la participación y visión de otros enriquezca nuestra clase. Por ejemplo el que generen alguna entrevista dentro de su comunidad y compartan experiencias y datos obtenidos.Dicha entrevista puede ser video-grabada de manera que revele más que simple información ,una pequeña vista socio.cultural de dicha comunidad.
Considero que la actividad puede ser planeada posteriormente , sobretodo considerando que no conocemos las características físicas ni psicológicas de nuestra población participante ( estudiantes) y creo que sería importante que dicha actividad dé respuesta a la necesidades e intereses de nuestros alumnos y público participante.
Creo que NAIS nos da la
oportunidad de dar respuesta no sólo a esto retos ( de interés mundial) sino
que también nos permite abrir fronteras y globalizar nuestra clase con
problemas reales y por lo tanto significativos para los alumnos, invitándolos a
responsabilizarse de su propio aprendizaje y a buscar de forma colaborativa
soluciones.
Para mí va a ser una
oportunidad de poner en práctica por primera vez el concepto de “Flattening
Classroom” , así como todo lo que implica poner en marcha un proyecto de este
índole.
Tenemos planeado iniciar con
este proyecto el próximo año escolar. Nos gustaría tener la oportunidad de
poder dar a conocer esta asociación a nuestros compañeros de trabajo e
invitarlos a formar parte de nuestro proyecto.
ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE ABOVE TEXT
I am
interested in participating in the “Education for all” challenge within the
currícula in the humanities area, is the Human Rights unit, and it will be very
significant for the students to relate
to this theme.
The
challenge, within the school, I have planned to work as a team with Patricia
Morales, who teaches the same class.
The
challenge answers to a very real
problema within our country, and it is easy to elevate it to a world level,
because inequalities between people is a global problem.
Our plan for
this challenge is to initially send out
the application and in this way be able to contact other teachers that might be
interested in sharing with us their experiences.
Once we have
at least a couple of groups with whom to work, we shall plan some activity
where participation and the vision of
others will enrich our class. As an activity, for example, teachers can get an
interview within their communities, and share the data and experiences. Such interview can be videotaped, so that it
reveals more than simple information, and it can also become a sociocultural
visit to that community.
I think that
this activity can be planned for later, considering that we do not know the
physical and psychological characteristics of our participating population
(students), and I think that it would be important that such activity answers
the needs and interests of our students and participating public.
I think that
NAIS gives us the opportunity to answer, not only challenges that are or global interest, but
it also allows us to open up new frontiers and
it globalizes our classroom with real, significant problems for our
students, inviting them to become responsable for their own learning, and to
search in a collaborative manner, for solutions.
For me, it is
going to be a great opportunity to work for the first time the “Flattening
Classroom” concept, as well as everything that goes with working such a
project.
We have
planned starting this project next school year. We would like to have the
opportunity to let our colleagues know about this association and invite them
to be part of our project.
