An Introduction to Project-Based Learning.

Mi visión acerca de lo que es PBL ( Problem-basaed Learning) no cambió mucho antes y después de ver el video;ya que no es un concepto nuevo para mí. Ya anteriormente he estudiado algo sobre este tema. Me ayudó para confirmar lo que ya sabía y sobretodo para tomar consciencia de que realmente es una metodología que le permite al estudiante desarrollar habilidades como el pensamiento crítico y lo ayuda a entender,aplicar y retener de manera más eficiente la información , al mismo tiempo que los mantiene motivado e involucrado en su aprendizaje.

Creo que también es muy importante reconocer que les da a los estudiantes  la oportunidad de autodirigir su aprendizaje mediante la creación de proyectos que son aplicables en la vida real,volviéndose así más significativos.

Un nuevo reto dentro del salón de clases

En mi clase creo que he aplicado en cierta medida lo que es PBL, sin embargo considero que no lo he vuelto una metodología constante.

En el colegio sí he visto como el PBL es capaz de darle la oportunidad a los estudiantes de autodirigir su aprendizaje y demostrar su performace , resolviendo casos reales. Un ejemplo de esto es el llamado "Personal project" que llevan acabo los alumnos de 10o grado. Es un proyecto donde desde un principio se busca que el alumno desarrolle a través de su trabajo, pensamiento crítico y buena comunucación . 

Estoy convencida de las ventajas que traerá a mis alumnos el poder desarrollar su aprendizaje a través del PBL. Sé que se requiere de una planeación muy detallada,pero creo que vale la pena y facilita el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje.

My vision of what PBL is (Problem-basaed Learning) did not change much before and after watching the video, it is not a new concept for me. Previously, I studied something about this topic. It helped me confirm what I already knew and especially to become aware that it really is a methodology that allows students to develop critical thinking skills and help you understand, apply and retain information more efficiently, while keeping them motivated and involved in their learning.

I think it is very important to recognize that PBL gives students the opportunity to self-direct their learning by creating projects that are applicable in real life. Thus becoming more significant.

In my classroom I think I implemented to some extent what is PBL, however, I believe that I have not become a consistent methodology.

At school I have seen as the PBL is able to give students the opportunity to self-direct their learning and demonstrate their performace, solving real cases. An example of this is the "Personal Project" that perform the 10th graders. It is a project which seeks outset that students develop through their work, critical thinking and good comunucation.

I am convinced of the benefits it will bring to my students to develop their learning through PBL. I know it requires a very detailed planning, but I think it's worth and facilitates the teaching-learning process.
