PBL vs Doing projects

Existe una gran diferencia entre lo que se busca con PBL y el simple hecho de realizar proyectos en el salón de clases. La principal diferencia y creo que la más importante es el hecho de que en el PBL los estudiantes están motivados desde un desde el principio de la unidad. Los estudiantes entienden claramente que se espera de ellos y cual es la meta a alcanzar. El maestro es sólo un facilitador y busca mediante el proyecto desarrollar habilidades de pensamiento crítico en sus estudiantes. Se busca que se resuelvan problemas de la vida real para que el aprendizaje tenga un verdadero contexto y significado. El producto final es lo más importante y siempre se busca tener una audiencia que evalúe el proyecto y así los estudiantes tengan una retroalimentación clara y directa.Por el contrario con el simple hecho de realizar proyecto no se logra nada de lo anterior , es simplemente una manera tradicional y poco motivante de abordar un contenido. Las calificaciones siguen en primer plano y el maestro continúa al frente y como responsable del aprendizaje de sus alumnos, lo que lo vuelve poco significativo y motivante.Los alumnos dificilmente retendrñan lo aprendido y su involucramiento será muy pobre.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE ABOVE TEXT

There is a difference between what is sought with PBL and simply carry out projects in the classroom. The main difference and I think the most important  oneis the fact that PBL students are motivated from an early unit. Students understand clearly what is expected of them and what is the goal to achieve. The teacher is only a facilitator and looking through the project  to develop critical thinking skills in their students. It seeks to solve real-life problems for learning to take a real context and meaning. The final product is paramount and always looking to evaluate the project  so that students have a clear feedback . By contrast with the simple fact of making project not achieved any of the above, is simply a traditional way of addressing some motivating content. The ratings remain in the foreground and the teacher continues to lead and be responsible for the learning of their students, which makes it insignificant and hardly motivating . The students will not remember the  learning and their involvement will be very poor.
