Lo que nos presenta el video como principal problema es el hecho de creer que a mayor recompensa va a haber mejor rendimiento

 ( académico, personal, profesional) o del índole que se trate.

    Actualmente estamos en un sistema educativo que si bien no premia con dinero a los alumnos , les da a cambio de su esfuerzo un grados o calificaciones arbitrarias , así como premios y reconocimientos que creo lo único que logran es desarrollar en los alumnos la motivación extrínseca, además de que el alumno enfoca todo su esfuerzo en tratar de lograr los estándares impuestos por el sistema educativo al que pertenece.

     Creo yo que en estos momento donde “El tener vale más que el ser” debemos como educadores hacer un alto y reflexionar en cómo podemos lograr que nuestros estudiantes tengan una motivación intrínseca y despertar en ellos el deseo de aprender.

     Debemos enfocar nuestros esfuerzos en descubrir los intereses y necesidades reales de nuestros estudiantes, preparar el ambiente ( salón de clases) para que éste los invite a explorar con autonomía y deseo auténtico de aprender sin esperar nada a cambio. Buscar alumnos satisfechos y por ende motivados e involucrados en su proceso de aprendizaje. Sólo así podremos aspirar a que casi de forma natural los alumnos lleguen a desarrollar habilidades de pensamiento superiores casi sin ningún esfuerzo.

    Debemos de confiar en nuestros alumnos y darle la libertad de volverse autores de su propio conocimiento, planear pero no dirigir, ser sólo un guía en este camino de su vida.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE ABOVE TEXT

What  this video presents to us  is the problem of believing that the greater the reward the better the performance  (Academic, personal, professional) or of any other nature.

     We are currently in an educational system that, while it does not reward the students with money   it gives them in exchange for their efforts arbitrary grades and awards that I think all they do is develop students' extrinsic motivation, besides the student focuses all his effort in trying to achieve the standards set by the educational system to which it belongs.

I believe that in these times where "Having  is worth more than being" as educators we must pause and reflect on how we can ensure that our students have an intrinsic motivation and awaken in them the desire to learn.

  We must focus our efforts on discovering the real needs and interests of our students, prepare the environment (classroom) to invite them to explore it with autonomy and genuine desire to learn without expecting anything in return. We must try to find  satisfied students who are motivated and involved in their learning process. Only then can we hope that almost naturally the students will be able to reach higher thinking skills with almost no effort.

We need to trust our students and give freedom so  they become authors of their own knowledge,  by planning but not leading, by guiding them down this path of their lives.
